How to Turn Baccarat’s Mathematical Edge To Your Side and
Start Winning at the Casinos Immediately – A Tricky Baccarat
Strategy Revealed

The sun was unusually bright that morning. In Japanese belief, you would succeed in
whatever task you have in a day if you were greeted with a very pleasant bright sun. I was
going to the casino that morning, a cycle that I have been going through for already about
a month. I thought this particular sunny day might have something pleasant for me…
Maybe this unusually bright sun was the messenger that I would be able to discover
something tricky that day.  

I walked again to the casino that morning. Since the casino was just a block away, then
walking was a healthy choice. It was around 8 am when I arrived, my usual arrival time.
There were not many gamblers inside – typical of a casino morning. All the gaming tables
were empty except a lone Baccarat table which was full.

I usually play Blackjack but I know I can’t play the game this morning again as in the
previous mornings since the casino was short of dealers – at least this is what the pit boss
told me. The week before when I requested the pit boss to open the Blackjack table, he
refused saying they were no dealer available. Since then I didn’t dare trying to start
Blackjack again. I did not know if the pit boss was telling me the truth or he just didn’t want
me to play. Perhaps the pit boss had labeled me as a small bettor, or perhaps he knew the
casinos couldn’t make money from me. I know the casino would not refuse a big bettor with
this kind of request.

So there was nothing I could do but wait for someone else to start Blackjack. While waiting,
I wondered to the Baccarat game.  

Although there were plenty of people surrounding the Baccarat game, there were only two
betting players as the rest were mostly kibitzers. They were not actually kibitzers in a real
sense but casino regulars who had lost all their money during the night. I wondered why
they chose to stick around when they could have taken their much needed rest at home.  

One of the Baccarat players was obviously an American. To my standard the two players
were big bettors since they were betting 1,000 pesos a hand. The max limit at the table was
4,000 pesos and the minimum was 100 pesos. I wanted to play Baccarat to waste away
time but I was hesitant because I was not willing to bet big. Because when big bettors are
around and you bet small side with them, they usually treat your bet as a jinx. This I learned
the hard way before.

I sat beside with the American player and started a conversation him. He seemed friendly
so we get along well. He was chatty - He said he was a retired American Navy, and had a
Filipina wife, and so they decided to live in the Philippines.

What I like about this American gambler was his betting style. He never bet in Player hand,
always in Banker hand – never even bothering to analyze the score card. He also does not
bet in Tie. Did he know he was doing it right? Did he know that mathematics wise, it is
better to bet at Banker hand because the house edge is only1.06 percent even with the
five percent commission as compared with Player hand that has 1.24 percent house edge?
I thought so. His only failing was because he was flat betting.

So what I did was ride my bet on his bet – with his permission of course. Every time he
would bet 1,000 pesos on Banker hand – I would add 100 pesos on his bet – making it a
total of 1,100 pesos. If we won, we would be given 1,045 in winnings (minus 5%
commission). This pleased me because my new friend would give me my full 100 pesos
winnings while he pays all the commission. This means that the casino is at 1.24%
disadvantage against me. We played until up to about six hours. When we stopped, I won
1,000 pesos.

The experience left a positive impression in me. Can this style of play be made as a regular
income source? I bet it could because the mathematical edge is with the player. Only, to
make the experience consistent you must satisfy some conditions. First you must always
ride your small bet with someone else’ bigger bet on Banker hand, and second, the big
bettor must consent to this and agree to pay all the 5% commission. Of course we cannot
be certain whether or not these two conditions can be consistently created.  

Let us try to compute how much a gambler will earn playing this way, assuming that the
conditions were possible at all times.

Let us say you can play 1,000 hands in eight hours of play every day, at say 10 dollars a
hand. That means you will have bet 10,000 dollars in those 1,000 hands (1,000 hands x 10
dollars). Then 10,000 dollars x 1.24 % = 1,240 dollars. A living wage! And if you can bet
more than 10 dollars a hand, or you can play more than 1,000 hands a day, or you can
play more than 8 hours a day, then you can earn more than 1,240 dollars a day. Whew!

In conclusion, I know that this Baccarat strategy is not for everyone. In my case, I had tried
this play only once as I did not have plenty of opportunity to do it. In my book “The

the misbehavior of casino events, and I made no mention in winning this way. But for those
of you who would like to try, then why not? There is no harm in trying.
